TTMT #386 - jewells68 - January 12, 2021 - Cutting a Path to the Future

In which I show off my first Project Linus quilt donation of 2021 as well as share what I'm currently doing for my local Project Linus group as well as my own Linus stash-busting. Having pre-cuts on hand to grab when you want to make a quilt top "right now" is super handy, and really doesn't take that much time and effort... especially if you do it on your lunch break every day! Also, how do you like the new stucco color? I love it, it makes me think of cinnamon. No more pink pepto bismol house!

Project Linus donation # 1 of 2021

The stripe fabric was a sort of textured fabric... "shot" I think it's called? I am pretty sure it was a cotton/poly blend that was meant to look like linen. It was from my Mom's fabric stash. Probably meant to make a shirt for my dad but never happened.

Vicky, I'm pretty sure this Peter Pan fabric came from you! The dark FQ came from that box Susan sent a year or two ago, and the blue and yellow I'm pretty sure came from Amber years and years ago!

TTMT #385 - jewells68 - January 5, 2021 - New Year, New Projects

In which I talk about what's currently on the quilting frame, WIP color theory wall hanging, and a crochet blanket currently on the hook for Project Linus. I've decided once again not to make a goal/to-do chart for what I want to finish this year, but just keep plugging away at what is currently in my line of vision, and when that is clear, turning my gaze to another corner or bin in the Project Room and starting there.

TTMT #384 - jewells68 - December 31, 2020 - The Last One of the Year

A little longer than usual but then this year has been longer than a usual year, too. In this video I look back at the past year and end it with 4 final quilt donations for Project Linus including the 2019 mystery quilt, my Space Book panel quilt, Kitties and Bunnies quilt (made from pieces of several panels including a tote bag panel, toaster cozy panel, and dresden cheater quilt panel), my Granny Squares quilt made from leftovers from the quilt I made from my mom's fabric for my great-niece and blocks from the 2014 LJ Birthday Blocks Swap. Thanks to the two quilts Kristel sent me, I have donated a total of 13 quilts to my local Project Linus chapter in 2020, which is one more than my goal for this year. I also talk about my 2012 LJ Birthday Blocks Swap quilt top that I'm going to finish in 2021, and I also show off my final fabric purchases for 2020, one of which is for the 2021 Project of Doom Anniversary Multi-Fandom Quiltalong. Whew! Thank you for being along for the ride and for your encouragement and support throughout this crazy effed up year. May 2021 bring you Peace, Love, Health, and, of course, plenty of Crafty Mojo!

TTMT #383 - jewells68 - December 23, 2020 - Skirting the Issue

In which I show more stuff I've been quilting (Logey Bear Leads the Way - 2019 Project Linus Mystery Quilt) and crafting (you'll have to watch to find out!). Wishing you the happiest holiday season you can muster.

TTMT #382 - jewells68 - December 15, 2020 - Baby Needs Back(s)

In which you see 2 more quilts quilted over the past week on my Moxie that are now ready to bind, label, and donate to Project Linus. Time to get busy piecing some backs so I can get back to polishing off the last 4 tops that are waiting to be quilted. Woo!

TTMT #381 - jewells68 - December 8, 2020 - All the Things

In which I show my first top Project Linus top quilted on my new Moxie, and a couple updates to the Project room like shorter window covering and a home made "handi hammock" under my Loft frame. I should plow through this backlog of tops pretty quickly, I think! Just trying to decide which one I'll quilt next! #quiltingwithmoxie

TTMT #380 - jewells68 - December 1, 2020 - The Big Reveal

In which I ask Sarah from Houston to come to my rescue with my knitted hat challenges, and reveal the reason I've been working so hard to organize and rearrange my Project Room. But wait, there's more! I'll also show you my finished top for the Project Linus 2020 Mystery Quilt "Lucy's Love Notes", a batch of xmas-themed face masks I made my family, and sew much more!
